Eight Advisory supported GEODIS on their acquisition of trans-o-flex
Eight Advisory has carried out the financial and tax buy side due diligences, as well as the tax structuring, on behalf of GEODIS in the context of its acquisition of trans-o-flex.
Trans-o-flex is one of Germany’s leading premium express transport companies, specialising in temperature-controlled transport of pharmaceutical products as well as express delivery of products for the cosmetics and high-tech industries. It is headquartered in Weinheim (Baden-Württemberg) and employs around 2,000 people in 77 local hubs and branches, offering express logistics services throughout Germany.
The GEODIS Group is the world’s leading transport and logistics company. It operates in five business areas Supply Chain Optimization, Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics, Distribution & Express and Road Transport and has a global network covering almost 170 countries. GEODIS employs more than 44,000 people and has a turnover of €10.9 billion in 2021.
This transaction will allow GEODIS to further develop its freight network in Germany.
The team in charge of the financial due diligence was composed of Mathieu Morisot, Marc Niclas, Heloise Campos and Mehmet Ornek.
The German and French tax team consisted of Guillaume Rembry, Guillaume Exerjean and Dominik Schmidt.
