Appointment of a new partner in the Zurich office

Eight Advisory, a leading consulting firm in Transactions, Restructuring, and Transformation, continues to expand internationally.

Michael Horwat, 42 years old, has been appointed Partner in the Transaction Services team of Eight Advisory, Zurich. Michael brings significant experience in advising private equity, corporate clients and public authorities across a wide range of sectors.

Throughout his career so far, he has supported clients in a multitude of M&A situations, ranging from carve out disposals of global corporations to buy-and sell-side situations in the mid-market and PE space. Ever since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and until most recently, he has also acted as an advisor to public authorities on financial aspects regarding state aid provided to corporations in a specific sector considered of national importance.

Having worked for several years in Vienna and London, he continued his career in Switzerland, where he gained a strong reputation amongst clients.

Michael qualified as an Austrian CPA (Wirtschaftsprüfer) and tax advisor (Steuerberater) and is a CFA charterholder. Most recently, he passed the ‘Swiss law for foreign accountants’ exam, hosted by the professional body EXPERTsuisse. Michael joins Eight Advisory from a Big Four.
