Eight Advisory supported Igneo Infrastructure Partners on its acquisition of City Green Light
Eight Advisory provided commercial due diligence services to Igneo Infrastructure Partners as part of the transaction.
Igneo Infrastructure Partners, founded in 1994, is a global mid-market infrastructure investment manager and an autonomous investment team within the First Sentier Group. The firm manages US$22.9 billion in assets (as of 30 September June 2025) and focuses on high-quality, mature, mid-market infrastructure companies across renewables, digital infrastructure, waste management, water utilities, and transportation sectors in the UK, Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand.
City Green Light, established as a standalone business in 2017 following its carve-out from Gemmo, is Italy’s leading independent operator of public lighting and smart city solutions. The company manages around one million lighting points under long-term contracts with over 300 municipalities, providing critical infrastructure and supporting the energy transition in Italy.
The acquisition aims to strengthen Igneo’s portfolio of essential infrastructure platforms, delivering long-term sustainable value and supporting the energy transition across Europe. City Green Light’s efficient lighting solutions and stable, inflation-linked cash flows align with Igneo’s responsible investment approach and strategic focus on resilient, future-ready infrastructure.
