Maarten Verburgh joins Eight Advisory to strengthen its international Tax practices
We are expanding our Global Tax services offering with the launch of a dedicated Tax practice in the Netherlands, through the appointment of Maarten Verburgh as Tax Director in its Amsterdam office.
Maarten has extensive experience advising private equity and multinational clients on complex cross-border M&A transactions and restructurings. He joins Eight Advisory from a Big4’s deals Tax team where he has worked in both Amsterdam and Singapore offices. His expertise covers notably tax due diligence, structuring, modelling and post-deal implementation advice.
Maarten will launch the Tax service line in the Netherlands and will further strengthen Eight Advisory’s international Tax practice, working closely with all Eight Advisory teams and offices, especially In Belgium, to deliver seamless, cross-border tax solutions throughout the deal lifecycle.
“I am excited to be joining Eight Advisory at a time of strong growth and international expansion”
said Maarten Verburgh.
“What drew me to the firm is its entrepreneurial culture and its truly integrated international model, which together provide a unique platform to build a strong global tax practice. I look forward to supporting clients in navigating the complex tax aspects of their transactions through a highly collaborative and bespoke approach.”
Philippe Fimmers, Managing Partner, Eight Advisory Benelux, highlights:
“I am pleased that we are actively contributing to the development of Eight Advisory Group’s top-tier international Tax practice, enabling us to further support landmark transactions across key sectors and geographies.
Guillaume Rembry, Head of Eight Advisory’s Tax and Legal service line says:
“The launch of a Tax services offering in the Netherlands will help expand our Tax practice across the region. Maarten’s arrival is an important step in the building of our Pan-European Tax practice, which now gathers more than 80+ professionals in Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK.
Last year the tax teams advised clients on more than 400 transactions.
