Eight Advisory supported Pentest People with financial vendor assistance on its sale to GRC Group, backed by Inflexion

Headquartered in Leeds, Pentest People provides services to over 1,200 clients – directly and through distribution partnerships – and runs an award-winning graduate trainee programme. In addtion to pen testing and cyber consultancy, the company also offers CHECK accredited testing and has a rapidly growing incident response service that extends the group’s service offering. 

GRC Group was acquired by Inflexion in May 2024 to accelerate its growth and expand into new markets through further investment in its organic growth strategy, complemented by M&A. The acquisition of Pentest People is GRC’s second acquisition in the cybersecurity risk management market, following the acquisition of Bulletproof in June 2024. Pentest People will join Bulletproof (UK) and Target Defence (USA) as part of the newly formed cyber division.
