Eight Advisory supported Sofindev in the sale of WVT Group to Siparex and the acquisition of Roam Technology

Eight Advisory provided vendor financial and tax due diligence services to Sofindev and management as part of the sale of a majority stake in WVT Group to Siparex, and buy side financial due diligence services on the acquisition of Roam Technology.
Established in 1996 by Ward Van Thielen, WVT Group is a leading pan-European specialist in multivertical hygiene chemicals. Established in 1984, Roam Technology is a family-owned business with a global footprint, specializing in innovative hygiene and disinfection solutions for over 20 years, supported by extensive expertise and science-based know-how. Based in Genk, Belgium, and supported by international offices to serve a growing customer base, Roam Technology is recognized for its pioneering technologies, including Huwa-San, a market-leading stabilised hydrogen peroxide solution. The company’s mission is to deliver effective and sustainable solutions that guarantee the highest standards of hygiene, biosecurity, and product quality, with a particular focus on disinfection and water treatment across agriculture, livestock, healthcare, and industry. Roam Technology employs 75 people across its 7 international offices.
WVT Group and Roam Technology have agreed on a merger that will create a global leader in hygiene and biosecurity solutions. Siparex will become the majority shareholder of the merged group and support its ambitious growth strategy. Together, the companies generate a turnover of over 70 million euros with 170 employees. Sofindev, the previous partner of the WVT Group, will continue to support the group, which has quadrupled in size since 2019 through organic growth and acquisitions. The merger adds Roam Technology’s innovative solutions to the WVT Group’s product range and strengthens its global reach. The founders, management team and existing shareholders, including the Roebben family, will remain invested in the new group.
