Eight Advisory supported Compagnie de Alpes on the acquisition of Urban Group

Eight Advisory provided financial and ESG due diligence services to Compagnie des Alpes on the acquisition of Urban Group, France's leading 5-a-side football and padel provider.
Compagnie des Alpes was founded in 1989 and is today Europe’s leading leisure company, operating the largest ski resorts in the French Alps as well as leisure parks with a strong identity across Europe. With the acquisition of MMV, the second largest hotel operator in the French Alps, in October 2022, the Group has also become a major player in the mountain accommodation sector.
Within a decade, the Urban Group has become the market leader for 5-a-side football centres and the co-market leader for padel centres in France, operating 268 football courts and 49 padel courts in 34 centres (including 1 in Portugal). Urban targets both private individuals and companies, offering services and events such as football schools and the organisation of championships. The Urban Group has also partnered with well-known brands (e.g. PSG Academy, Nike, Betsson, Powerade, Heineken) and has invested heavily in digital technologies.
“We are delighted to have supported Compagnie des Alpes in this operation, which will enable it to expand its leisure offer and position itself in a high-growth segment. ” says Florence Khayat, Partner at Eight Advisory.
