Eight Advisory has performed the financial due diligence of Celsius Online on behalf of Plug in Digital, a French distributor and publisher of video games founded in 2012. The Montpellier-based company has reached a new milestone in its development by completing the first acquisition in its history with the purchase of Celsius Online. This is an important step in the development of the new company.
Since raising capital and welcoming Bridgepoint as a reference shareholder at the end of 2021, Plug in Digital has further grown and is currently deploying a strategy of external growth to enter new markets and strengthen its positions. With this acquisition, Plug in Digital has doubled in size and now employs nearly 120 people. The company will also have its own development studio for the first time.

Two complementary areas of expertise
Founded in 2012 by Francis Ingrand, Plug in Digital initially specialised in distribution and business development for independent video game publishers and studios. With a strong presence in premium games on PC, consoles and mobile, Plug in Digital currently supports more than 400 industry players and has more than 150 titles on offer, all platforms combined.
Celsius Online, founded in 2004, is one of the pioneers of free-to-play games on the Internet and mobile. The studio has developed a recognized know-how in GaaS (Game as Service) and in the development of titles.
