Eight Advisory supported AAB on its acquisition of GS Verde Group
Eight Advisory provided financial and tax due diligence services to AAB, a Goldman Sachs Alternatives portfolio company, as part of the transaction.
AAB is a leading professional services firm across the UK, Ireland, and USA offering a comprehensive range of services including audit, business advisory, tax, corporate finance, payroll, people consultancy and wealth management.
GS Verde Group is a multidisciplinary M&A advisory firm providing corporate finance, legal, tax, and transaction support services. Operating from offices in Cardiff, Bristol, Cheltenham and Dublin, GS Verde supports business owners on mergers and acquisitions, management buyouts, fundraisingand business exits, with a team of more than 50 experienced professionals.
The deal takes AAB’s turnover to £135 million, and the acquisition of GS Verde is the first deal following the recent investment by Goldman Sachs Alternatives, which aims to accelerate growth across the UK and Ireland. The acquisition is part of AAB’s strategic expansion plan, with further acquisitions already under discussion to strengthen its regional and national footprint. AAB now employs over 1,100 people across 17 locations in the UK and Ireland.
