Eight Advisory provided financial due diligence services to BTG Positioning Systems as part of the transaction.
BTG, headquartered in Oud-Beijerland, the Netherlands, is the global market leader in precision positioning and measurement systems for cranes and vehicles in (semi-)automated container terminals. Since 2021, BTG has been a portfolio company of Bolster Investment Partners.
Bolster Investment Partners, founded in 2017, is a Dutch investment firm focused on supporting entrepreneurial businesses with sustainable growth strategies. Since its investment in BTG Positioning Systems in 2021, Bolster has actively supported the company’s international expansion and innovation initiatives.
GPR, Inc., established in Boston in 2016, is a pioneer in radar-based positioning technology. Its patented software harnesses underground features to deliver highly accurate and reliable positioning, particularly in challenging environments where conventional systems underperform.
With the acquisition of GPR, BTG further strengthens its technological leadership and accelerates its entry into new end markets, including mining and logistics. The integration of GPR’s radar technology with BTG’s existing transponder and infrared solutions paves the way for new applications and reinforces BTG’s innovation capacity.
