Eight Advisory appoints former EXA and Telstra executive Nicholas Collins as Senior Advisor amid rapid transformation in European Digital Infrastructure

As Europe’s digital infrastructure and telecoms sector undergoes rapid transformation – driven by accelerating AI workloads, surging data demand, intensifying competition, and growing investor scrutiny - Eight Advisory continues to strengthen its position as a key advisor to both operators and investors, with its international team supporting clients across Europe and beyond by leveraging deep sector expertise and a global perspective.
Collins brings over two decades of deep industry experience across digital infrastructure and B2B telecoms. He has held commercial and strategic roles in both private equity-backed and multinational businesses, most recently as Chief Commercial Officer at EXA Infrastructure – owned by investment house I-Squared Capital.
In his role as Senior Advisor, Collins will work closely with Eight Advisory’s teams to provide strategic support on go-to-market strategy, M&A due diligence, post-deal value creation and business transformation initiatives – for both operators and private equity clients. Eight Advisory has an established international telecommunications and digital infrastructure practice serving clients across Europe.
“We are delighted to welcome Nicholas to the Eight Advisory network,” said Adam Bradley, Partner at Eight Advisory. “As investors and operators face growing complexity in the digital infrastructure space – having deep, hands-on sector insight is critical. Nicholas strengthens our capabilities to support clients across the full investment lifecycle – from initial deal evaluation through to value creation.”
On joining Eight Advisory – “I’m excited to join the team at Eight Advisory at such a transformative time for the industry. The sector is evolving fast, and I look forward to supporting clients as they navigate disruption, pursue growth, and respond to the opportunities reshaping the market.” said Collins.
“Welcoming senior advisors of Nicholas’s calibre reflects our commitment to continually strengthening the breadth and depth of expertise we offer our clients. By working alongside leading industry figures, we are better placed to anticipate and respond to our clients’ evolving needs in transformation and growth.” – says Justin Welstead, Member of the Eight Advisory Executive Committee.
