Eight Advisory supported Pori Energia in the sale of a 49% stake to Polhem Infra

Eight Advisory provided vendor commercial, technical and EHS due diligence to Pori Energia as part of the transaction
Polhem Infra KB has acquired a minority stake in Pori Energia Oy following Pori City Council’s decision on 27th January 2025 to approve the sale. The acquisition values Pori Energia at an enterprise value of €905m, with Polhem Infra’s equity investment at a purchase price of approximately €360m for a 49% stake. The City of Pori will retain a 51% stake in the company.
Pori Energia is a Finnish multi-utility company active in the entire energy value chain, providing district energy (heating and cooling), industrial energy services, electricity generation, distribution, and sales, along with renewable energy solutions in the region and across Finland. Through the continuation of vital energy services and sizeable investments in new energy technologies, Pori Energia is heavily contributing to the transformation of the Finnish energy landscape and the energy transition.
Eight Advisory conducted a commercial, technical and EHS assessment of Pori Energia’s business, covering the company’s district heating and cooling networks, electricity generation assets including participations in nuclear and offshore wind assets, the electricity distribution networks, as well as its participation in industrial energy solutions, electricity retailing and O&M services subsidiaries.
