DR. MATTHIAS HOGH HEADS TRANSACTION TAX PRACTICE OF EIGHT ADVISORY GERMANY

Eight Advisory, a leading consulting firm in Transactions, Restructuring, and Transformation, announced the appointment of Dr. Matthias Hogh as Partner of Eight Advisory Germany and Head of German Transaction Tax based in Frankfurt. At the same time, Ralph Hack, another proven expert in tax transaction advice, is complementing the German tax team.
Dr Matthias Hogh, 52, has many years of expertise in M&A tax with a focus on advising German and international private equity clients on any scale, infrastructure investors, and strategic investors from the US, France, and India. In addition to his advisory work, he has been involved in the global tax technical M&A tax training of executives and employees in Germany and globally in recent years.
Matthias Hogh joins from one of the Big Four consulting firms, where he worked for over 20 years in various leadership positions – most recently as International Transaction Tax Partner. In 1996 Matthias started his professional career in one of the Big Four in Frankfurt. He holds a doctorate in corporate taxation from the University of Göttingen, where he also studied business economics with a focus on auditing and taxation.
Before the appointment as a director at Eight Advisory Germany Ralph Hack, 47, has been a senior manager in the international transaction tax business of one of the Big Four consultancies for twelve years. He has more than twenty years of expertise in buy- and sell-side tax due diligence, tax structuring, tax fact books, modelling, refinancing and post deal tax advice. Ralph Hack is a certified tax advisor and holds a degree in business administration from the University of Applied Sciences in Worms with focus on taxation.
