Financial and tax BDD of 7 crematoriums on behalf of Funecap
Eight Advisory finalized, on behalf of Funecap, the financial and tax due diligences of a portfolio of 7 crematoriums sold by the Dela group.
The sale of these seven crematoriums (€15m turnover) by the Dela group, the leading funeral services company in the Netherlands, was imposed by the local antitrust authority (ACM) following Dela’s takeover of the Yarden group, the second largest in the Dutch market. The acquisition by FUNECAP was approved by the ACM on May 11. The transaction will be completed in early June.
The announcement of this future acquisition marks another key step in the internationalization of FUNECAP, the co-leader of the French funeral services and infrastructure market founded in 2010 by Thierry Gisserot and Xavier Thoumieux. Last April, the group officially merged with Altair Funeral, the Italian leader in crematorium management, to form the first Pan-European funeral group, with a turnover of €450 million and more than 300,000 families assisted each year.
The Eight Advisory team in charge of the financial due diligence was composed of Philippe Fimmers, Vincent Van Liere, Olivier Van Nes and Gaultier Montout.
The Eight Advisory Tax team in charge of the tax due diligence was composed of Guillaume Rembry and Guillaume Exerjean (for France) with the assistance of the firm Houthoff (for the Netherland).
