Appointment of three new Partners Eight Advisory in France, Benelux and Germany

Edouard Decamp has been appointed Partner in Transaction Services in the Brussels office. Thomas Gummert has been promoted to Partner in the Infrastructure & Project Finance practice in the Frankfurt office.

And last but not least, Hubert Christophe has been named Partner in the Tax practice, France, of Eight Advisory Avocats.

Edouard Decamp, 33, has been appointed Partner in the Transaction Services team of Eight Advisory Brussels. After graduating from the Louvain School of Management, Edouard acquired a board range of expertise with one of the Big Four and during the time he worked in the United States. He joined Eight Advisory in 2019 with substantial experience in due diligence, assisting both companies and private equity funds in a variety of sectors, including industrial products, healthcare and logistics.

Thomas Gummert, 44, has been appointed Partner within Eight Advisory’s Infrastructure & Project Finance team. Graduated from Technical University of Braunschweig and University of Rhode Island, Thomas began his career at Bilfinger Berger Project Investments and moved on to the infrastructure advisory team of a Big Four. He joined Eight Advisory in 2021 to open the Hamburg office and develop the Infrastructure & Project Finance offerings in the German speaking region. Thomas has a strong and internationally recognized expertise in providing financial and transaction advisory services in the infrastructure sectors for project developers, infrastructure funds, and institutional investors.

Hubert Christophe, 35, has been appointed Partner in the French Tax team of Eight Advisory Avocats. A graduate of Sciences Po Paris (economic law) and of EM Lyon (corporate finance), Hubert is also a member of the Paris Bar. He contributed to the creation of Eight Advisory Avocats in 2019 after a career primarily spent within the international tax team of one of the Big Four. With more than 10 years’ experience, Hubert has acquired sound knowledge of tax issues through consulting assignments carried out on behalf of the numerous corporate clients and investment funds in the scope of their transactions based both in France and abroad. He will support the growth of the tax team in France, in particular through the development of the scope of services offered by Eight Advisory Avocats (e.g., assistance in the framework of pre- and/or post deal reorganizations, tax audits, transformation plans).
